CHESTER BENNINGTON
Early life
Bennington was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He took interest in music at a young age, citing Depeche Mode and Stone Temple Pilots as early inspirations. Bennington's parents separated in the late 1980s, while he was still a child. He was sexually abused during his youth, and later struggled with cocaine and methamphetamine addictions. Bennington eventually overcame his drug addiction, and would go on to denounce drug use in future interviews. He worked at a Burger King restaurant before starting his career as a professional musician.
Professional career
Before joining Linkin Park, Bennington was a vocalist in Grey Daze, a now defunct grunge band from Phoenix, Arizona. He left Grey Daze in 1998, but struggled to find another band to play in. After nearly quitting his musical career altogether, Jeff Blue, then the vice president of A&R at Zomba Music in Los Angeles, offered Bennington an audition with Linkin Park. Bennington quit his day job, and took his family to California, where he had a successful audition with Linkin Park, who were then called “Hybrid Theory”. Bennington and Mike Shinoda, the band’s other vocalist, made significant progress together, but failed to find a record deal. After facing numerous rejections, Jeff Blue, now a vice president of A&R at Warner Bros., intervened again to help the band sign with Warner Bros. Records.

Despite having prodigious success in the early 2000s, Bennington has had personal problems outside of the limelight. He suffered a severe spider bite while touring with the OzzFest in 2001, which caused his arm to swell. Bennington was plagued with poor health during the making of Meteora, and struggled to attend some of the album’s record sessions He fell ill during the summer of 2003, and eventually underwent surgery Bennington’s relationship with his first wife, Samantha, also declined during his years with Linkin Park, leading to their divorce in 2005
Personal life
Bennington married his first wife, Samantha, on October 31, 1996. They had one child, named Draven Sebastian, who was born on April 19, 2002. After his divorcing his first wife, Bennington married Talinda Bentley, a former Playboy model, whom he has since had a child with, named Tyler Lee. Bennington made a cameo in the film Crank. He lives with them in a 6,000-square-foot house in Orange County when he is not on tour. He is also an avid tattoo enthusiast. In addition to sporting many tattoos and piercings all over his body, he has done work with Club Tattoo, a tattoo parlor in Tempe, Arizona. The parlor has received recognition from many magazines such as, College Affair and Skateboard Mag, while also spawning an art show in New York City.

DAVID MICHAEL FARRELL

David Michael Farrell (born on February 8, 1977), more commonly known as Phoenix, is the bassist for the alternative rock band Linkin Park.
Farrell was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts but later moved to Mission Viejo, California when he was five. He attended Mission Viejo High School. He also graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999 . He is adept at playing the bass guitar, electric guitar, cello and violin. He has also been known to play an upright bass at some concerts.
He has been married to Linsey Farrell since December 28, 2002, and in 2007 he became a father.
Farrell was a member of a Christian ska/Christian punk band known as the Tasty Snax. While attending college, he would practice with Brad Delson in their dorm room together. However, because he had to play and tour with the Tasty Snax, he could not play with Delson and his band, which would become Linkin Park. After changing their name to Snax, Farrell began playing bass guitar in the band before leaving once again to join Linkin Park full-time to play bass. Farrell's fellow band mate Mark Fiore became Linkin Park's videographer. As described in the inlay for Reanimation he uses an Ernie Ball MusicMan Bass.
Farrell has cited his influences as being his mother and his brother, Joe, as well as Weezer, The Beatles, the Deftones, The Roots, Bob Marley, Sarah McLachlan, Hughes & Wagner and Harrod & Funck.
Fitting to his nickname, Phoenix, he has two phoenix tattoos on his back.
On the 'Making of Minutes to Midnight' Dave Farrell is seen using Fender Precision Basses.
Phoenix is rumored to be dabbling in the culinary arts. He is currently doing a tri-tip internship under master barbecuer Jason Felix.
He uses: Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray basses; Ampeg SVT Classic heads Ampeg SVT Classic cabinets ; Dean Markley Blue Steel strings; Dunlop Picks (.88); DBX 160 compressor; Monster cables; Sans Amp; Boss pedals; Whirlwind direct boxes; Shure wireless

ROB BOURDON

Rob was born in Calabasas, California and now lives in Los Angeles. He grew up in the same town as the members of Incubus.
Rob started to play the drums at age ten after seeing an Aerosmith concert. His mother was the girlfriend of Joey Kramer, Aerosmith's drummer, so Bourdon was able to go backstage and see the entire production and Kramer also gave him a kick pedal. In his early teen years, Bourdon played in bands with his friends. It was around that time that he met his current Linkin Park bandmate, Brad Delson, and they played together for about a year in a band called Relative Degree. Their goal was to play at the Roxy Theatre, and, after achieving their goal with a sell-out show, Relative Degree eventually broke up.
Bourdon wears Puma racecar driving shoes to get a better feel for the drum pedals and he says that it gives him a much better control of the pedals. He is said to be somewhat of a perfectionist. Rob's hobbies include playing the piano (although he has never done so for a Linkin Park recording) and surfing.
He also said that the song 'Easier to Run' was the most difficult to play as he had to approach the drums very differently.
It is said that Linkin Park's upcoming third studio album will make use of standard wooden drums in addition/comparison to triggers which were used in the previous albums. Photos of the drum machines to be used for the record have surfaced via Joe Hahn's personal SlamXHype blog.
Rob is considered by many fans to be one of the member that has changed his sound the most for Minutes To Midnight. The variety of drum sounds in the album is greatly commented upon by fans.
In late 2006, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park said on Tattoo Stories that his bandmates Rob and Brad didn't have any tattoos for religious reasons. Both are actively of the Jewish faith.
He once dated actress Shiri Appleby.
He has dated actress Vanessa Lee Evigan since 2001.
His 25th birthday was featured on an episode of iTunes' LPTV. On January 20, 2004, Linkin Park played a show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the band can be seen joking around backstage and saying that it is Rob's twentieth birthday. This caused some confusion among viewers.
Rob's favorite song to play is In The End.

JOE HAHN
Joe Hahn, often credited as Mr. Hahn, is a director and musician best known as the turntablist for the American band Linkin Park. Hahn joined Linkin Park (then called Xero) in 1996 as the band's DJ. Since then, he has directed music videos for most singles of his band, with the exceptions of "One Step Closer", "Crawling" and "Faint". He is referenced to as Mr. Hahn at the beginning of "Cure for the Itch" from "Hybrid Theory". He has also directed videos for Static-X, Story of the Year, Xzibit, X-ecutioners and Alkaline Trio.
In 2005 to 2006, while bandmates Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda were busy with side projects, Hahn shot a short film called The Seed in Los Angeles, California and has premiered it at the Pusan International Film Festival. Hahn also appeared with a minor role in a short film by Filip Engström called Little Pony. In 2005, Hahn opened a retail concept store and brand Suru, located on the infamous Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
Hahn was also featured on the Fort Minor songs "Slip Out the Back" and "Move On" (a Fort Minor Militia exclusive), tracks produced by his Linkin Park bandmate Shinoda. In both tracks, Hahn does some scratching in the outro.
On the new album Minutes To Midnight, Joe Hahn contributes more to programming with his sound effects board. The only songs he uses turntables in Minutes To Midnight are the minor roles in "What I've Done," "In Pieces," and "The Little Things Give You Away."

Mike is thought by many to be the most versatile member of Linkin Park. Some of his numerous talents include rapping, playing the piano and guitar, producing, and art design. Shinoda was born unto a Japanese father and Russian mother and is a distant relative of the legendary Russian composer Tchaikovsky. Mike got into music at a young age, when he was taught how to play the piano. After years of classical training, Mike eventually began to produce and create his own loops using a keyboard he had purchased. Combining bands such as the Smashing Pumpkins and Rage Against The Machine with Wu-Tang Clan vocals, Shinoda started to lay down the genre-blending style that would later become the cornerstone of Linkin Park's sound.

While attending Agoura High School with his junior high chum Brad Delson, Mike and Brad met drummer Rob Bourdon through a mutual friend in a local band named Karma. Rob was soon asked to be the drummer for their new band, Xero. When Brad and Mike went to seperate colleges they met two people who were also asked to join their band, turntablist Joseph Hahn and bassist David "Phoenix" Farrell. Mike recruited Hahn from Pasadena's 'Art College of Design' they both attended, and Brad met Phoenix at UCLA. Mike's main plan for Xero was to create a sound without categorizational boundaries that seamlessly blended several styles of music, including rock, hip-hop, and electronica. This was much like what he had done on his own at a younger age with his keyboard, yet on a larger scale. Mike was a fan of bands from many different categories of music, including Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, N.W.A, and more.

Mike has also shown he can excel outside of Linkin Park, becoming very active in helping underground hip-hop artists get recognition. On the Linkin Park remix album 'Reanimation', which Shinoda produced, many of the guest stars chosen to remix 'Hybrid Theory' tracks were those of the underground hip-hop scene. Shinoda also released a solo hip-hop effort under the moniker of Fort Minor in 2005, where he gives the opportunity to many up-and-coming musicians to get their shot at having their voices heard on a mainstream stage. Mike is constantly creating new music in his spare time.

"Writing songs and sharing them with people is a very rewarding experience...I can't think of anything more gratifying as seeing people from different backgrounds come together to enjoy music. Thanks." - Mike

Linkin Park’s ‘New Divide’

New Divide or New Horizon?
After lying low for almost 2 years, Linkin Park are back with quite an impact – their new song, “New Divide” is featured as a theme song in one of this summer’s most anticipated movies – the Transformer’s sequel, Revenge of the Fallen. The movie will be in theaters on June 24, 2009. The single is already available for purchase on iTunes.

“New Divide” has made history by being just the 3rd record in history to debut in the Top 10 on the American Billboard Hot 100 Chart & Modern Rock Chart simultaneously. Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” also enjoyed similar success. The track is “built on layered, heavy synths and a sharp performance by Mr. Bourdon.” It also creates “a nice interplay between the organic feel of the rhythm track and the more robotic feel of the keyboards.”

Mike Shinoda recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about Linkin Park’s brand new single.

I feel like “New Divide” is the beginning of a new phase for our band. We’re hoping to release things a little bit more often. We’re hoping to have Chester’s solo album, which will be under the project title of Dead By Sunrise, out by the end of this year. And we’ll have a new Linkin Park record out next year.

New Divide’

New Divide’

I remember black skies
And lightning all around me
I remembered each flash
As time began to burn
Like a startling sign
The feint had finally found me
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

So give me reason
To prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the thoughts cross
The distance in your eyes
Give me reason
To fill this hole
Ignite the space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth and lies
Across this new divide

There is nothing inside
The memories left abandoned
There was nowhere to hide
The ashes fell like snow
And the ground caved in
Between where we were standing
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

So give me reason
To prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the thoughts cross
The distance in your mind
Across this new divide

And every loss
And every lie
And every truth that you deny
And each regret
And each divide
Are some mistakes you pray to hide
And your voice was all I heard
But I get what I deserve

So give me reason
To prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the thoughts cross
The distance in your eyes
Give me reason
To fill this hole
Connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth and lies
Across this new divide
Across this new divide
Across this new divide

"What I've Done"
In this farewell
There’s no blood
There’s no alibi
‘Cause I’ve drawn regret
From the truth
Of a thousand lies

[Pre-Chorus:]
So let mercy come
And wash away
What I’ve done

[Chorus:]
I'll face myself
To cross out what i’ve become
Erase myself
And let go of what i’ve done

Put to rest
What you thought of me
While I clean this slate
With the hands of uncertainty

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus]

For what I’ve done
I start again
And whatever pain may come
Today this ends
I’m forgiving what I’ve done!!!

[Chorus]

What I’ve done
Forgiving what I’ve done

LINKIN PARK LYRICS

LINKIN PARK LYRICS Given Up"
Wake in a sweat again
Another day's been laid to waste
In my disgrace

Stuck in my head again
Feels like I'll never leave this place
There's no escape

I'm my own worst enemy

[chorus]
I've given up
I'm sick of feeling
Is there nothing you can say

Take this all away
I'm suffocating
Tell me what the fuck is wrong
With me
[end chorus]

I don't know what to take
Thought I was focused but I'm scared
I'm not prepared

I hyperventilate
Looking for help somehow somewhere
And no one cares

I'm my own worst enemy

[chorus]
I've given up
I'm sick of feeling
Is there nothing you can say

Take this all away
I'm suffocating
Tell me what the fuck is wrong
With me
[end chorus]

[bridge]
Goddddddd!!!!

Put me out of my misery
Put me out of my misery
Put me out of my
Put me out of my fucking misery
[end bridge]

[chorus]
I've given up
I'm sick of feeling
Is there nothing you can say

Take this all away
I'm suffocating
Tell me what the fuck is wrong
With me

Linkin Park Cooking Up Genre-Busting Album for 2010

Linkin Park Cooking Up Genre-Busting Album for 2010

Linkin Park co-frontman Mike Shinoda says the band’s fourth studio album is going to be so unique, “they’re going to have to come up with a new genre name for what this record is.”

Shinoda wants to shake things up in the rock world with the follow-up to 2007’s Minutes To Midnight, and tells Rolling Stone Linkin Park are doing just that. They’re about halfway through the writing process and hope to have the album ready for an early 2010 release. But Shinoda adds that the quality of the tunes is chief among his concerns, and that “if we need to take a step back and make sure everything is top, top quality by our standards, we will.”

The way Shinoda sees it, this country’s musical appetite mirrors its appetite for food. “People just want junk food,” he explains. “They want throw-away junk food music that’s going to make them lethargic and fat. McDonalds is great once in a while, in moderation. Eat it every day and you just turn into a slob. We feel the same way about music. We want to hopefully move even more into being able to make more substantial music, and we’ve always been capable of it, but sometimes, there were different things that we got excited about on each record, about what we wanted to write and what we wanted to make and what kind of statement we wanted to make. On this record, we’re definitely paying attention to the substance and the nuance, and we hope to make something that’s really cutting edge and really different.”

Before the world gets another Linkin Park record, though, the band’s other mike-wielder, Chester Bennington, plans to release his first solo project, under the banner Dead By Sunrise. In addition, the band is currently collaborating with legendary composer Hans Zimmer on the score toTransformers: Rise of the Fallen. The band contributed a fresh song, “New Divide,” to the film’s soundtrack, “and when we delivered the song, everyone loved it, and so they invited us to work on the score.

“This is the first time we’ve written something to visuals on a screen, writing as you’re looking at something to be inspired by,” Shinoda explains, “and as the scene moves along, the music changes, and it’s been a lot of fun to do that. This single marks the beginning of what we hope will be a more prolific phase on our career.”

Back to the new LP disc: Shinoda says the record isn’t what he would describe as a concept album, but has some cohesive elements. “This isn’t necessarily a record that tells a story about a character or anything like that, but I do hope the record has a sonic identity, from beginning to end, that’s distinguishable from the other stuff we’ve done and distinguishable from everything else out there. I would love, at the end of the day, to be able to look at this record, and say its something totally new, totally true to the spirit of the band, and it doesn’t sound like anything else. That’s what we shoot for.”

Shinoda says he’s been writing material for the album for months now, mostly while the band’s been on tour in Europe and in the States, and he plans to take some of his “Fort Minor energy,” and dump it into the LP album. “I really want a record that sounds different. I would love for this record to be something that has its own identity, and can’t easily be connected to anything else,” he says, before returning to his victuals analogy. “This album will be the kind of food that’s foreign to you, that you haven’t had before, and when you first taste it, you’ll go, ‘This doesn’t taste like anything else I’ve had, but I think I like it.’ We’ll have to make the record and see.”

Beyond his work with Linkin Park, Shinoda has teamed up with DC Shoes for his third tennis shoe for the company’s Remix Series. All proceeds from the sales of the shoes, which Shinoda says he wore for six months on the band’s most recent tour, will benefit his Michael K. Shinoda Endowed Scholarship Fund at the Art Center College of Design in California.

Faint"

I am a little bit of loneliness a little bit of disregard
Handful of complaints but I can’t help the fact that everyone can see
these scars
I am what I want you to want what I want you to feel
But it's like no matter what I do, I can't convince you, to just believe
this is real
So I let go, watching you, turn your back like you always do
Face away and pretend that I'm not
But I'll be here 'cause you're all that I got

[Chorus]
(I can't feel the way I did before)
(Don't turn your back on me)
(I won't be ignored)
(Time won't heal this damage anymore)
(Don't turn your back on me)
(I won't be ignored)

I am a little bit insecure a little unconfident
Cause you don't understand I do what I can but sometimes I don't make
sense
I am what you never wanna say but I've never had a doubt
It's like no matter what I do I can't convince you for once just to hear
me out
So I let go watching you turn your back like you always do
Face away and pretend that I'm not
But I'll be here 'cause you're all that I've got

[Chorus]
(I can't feel the way I did before)
(Don't turn your back on me)
(I won't be ignored)
(Time won't heal this damage anymore)
(Don't turn your back on me)
(I won't be ignored)

(No)
(Hear me out now)
(You're gonna listen to me, like it or not)
(Right now)
(Hear me out now)
(You're gonna listen to me, like it or not)
(Right now)

(I can't feel the way I did before)
(Don't turn your back on me)
(I won't be ignored)

[Chorus]
(I can't feel the way I did before)
(Don't turn your back on me)
(I won't be ignored)
(Time won't heal this damage anymore)
(Don't turn your back on me)
(I won't be ignored)

I can't feel
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored
Time won't heal
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored

Part Of Me

Part Of Me
Part of me won’t go away
Everyday reminded how much I hate it
Weighted against the consequences
Can’t live without it so it’s senseless
Wanna cut it out of my soul
And just live with a gaping hole
Take control of my life
And wash out all the burnt taste
I made the problems in the first place
Hang my head low ‘cause it’s part of me
Ya hardly see right next to the heart of me
Heard of me the routine scar
New cuts cover where the old ones are
And now I’m sick of this
I can’t stand the sandpaper thoughts that grade on my sanity
I rather not even be then the man that’s staring in the mirror through me

[Pre chorus]
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just what’s killing me
[x4]

I feel it everyday
I feel I made my way
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside
Swallowing me

Freedom can be frightening if you've never felt it
Once it’s been dealt with you feel like you’ve been touched by something angelic
And then melted down into a pool of peace
Cease to be the animal you used to be
Remove the broken parts you know were wrong
And feel the karma when the problem’s all gone
And then you start to see another piece of yourself that you can’t let be
Memories of the last fight to free yourself
Take it to the depths of the bottom of the well
And now you know you can choose to lose the part in your heart
Where your insides bruised
You can live if you’re willing to
Put a stop to just what’s killing you

[Pre chorus x4]

[Chorus]

(Alive in me, inside of me, a part of me screams away silently
This part of me won’t go away, part of me won’t go away
Everywhere I look around I see how everyone aught to be
Every time I see myself I see there’s always something wrong with me)

[Chorus x2]
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside, swallowing me
[x2

Hybrid Theory

And One
Where should I start
Disjointed heart
I’ve got no commitment
To my own flesh and blood
Left all alone
Far from my home
No one to hear me, to heal my ill heart, I

Keep it locked up inside

Cannot express
To the point I’ve regressed
If anger’s a gift, then I guess I’ve been blessed, I

Keep it locked up inside
Keep my distance from your lies

It’s too late to love me now
You helped me to show me
It’s too late to love me now
You don't even know me

Breaking a part of my heart to find release
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace
Breaking a part of my heart to find release
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace

Breaking a part of my heart to find release (Break)
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace (Me)
Breaking a part of my heart to find release (Too)
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace

Keep it locked up inside
Keep my distance from your lies

Breaking a part of my heart to find release (Break)
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace (Me)
Breaking a part of my heart to find release (Too)
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace
Breaking a part of my heart to find release
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace
Breaking a part of my heart to find release
Taking you out of my blood to bring me peace

Keep my distance
Keep my distance
Keep my distance
Keep my distance

[music slows to rap solo...]

Spit drips from the jaw of the witless witness
Cryptic colloquialism shifts your midrift
Dark all I do embark the shadows
Involved with my thought catalog, analogue, rap catalog
Keep my distance, and fear resistance, hurt by persistance
The twisted web of tangled lies
Strangles my hope to waste and numbs the taste
And I'm forced to face these hate crimes
Against the state of being
Feeling the weight-less-ness pressed between the ceiling
Reeling around room
Riding a bubble of sound proof
It's the frequency making you
Sha-Shake with every boom
Involuntary muscle contraction
Ignoring and drinking musical gas fueled euphoria
The sound pounds to make the dead flush
To have you a head rush with red thoughts and said stuff

My December"

My December"
This is my December
This is my time of the year
This is my December
This is all so clear
This is my December
This is my snow covered home
This is my December
This is me alone

And I
Just wish that
I didn't feel
Like there was
Something I missed
And I
Take back all
The things that I said
To make you
Feel like that
And I
Just wish that
I didn't feel
Like there was
Something I missed
And I
Take back all the
Things that I said to you

And I give it all away
Just to have somewhere
To go to
Give it all away
To have someone
To come home to

This is my December
These are my snow-covered trees
This is me pretending
This is all I need

And I
Just wish that
I didn't feel
Like there was
Something I missed
And I
Take back all
The things that I said
To make you feel like that
And I
Just wish that
I didn't feel
Like there was
Something I missed
And I
Take back all the things
I said to you

And I give it all away
Just to have
Somewhere to go to
Give it all away
To have someone
To come home to

This is my December
This is my time of the year
This is my December
This is all so clear

And I give it all away
Just to have somewhere
To go to
Give it all away
To have someone
To come home to

One Step Closer Lyrics

I cannot take this anymore
Saying everything I've said before
All these words they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Less I hear the less you'll say
You'll find that out anyway

Just like before...

[Chorus:]
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
I'm about to break

I find the answers aren't so clear
Wish I could find a way to disappear
All these thoughts they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again

Just like before...

[Chorus]

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break

Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up
Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up

I'm about to BREAK

[Chorus]

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break

Crawling

[Chorus:]
Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
Fear is how i fall
Confusing what is real

There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
Consuming/confusing
This lack of self-control i fear is never ending
Controlling/i can't seem

[Bridge:]
To find myself again
My walls are closing in
Linkin Park Crawling lyrics found on http://www.hibeamlyrics.com/crawling-lyrics-linkin-park.html
(without a sense of confidence and i'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before
So insecure

[Chorus]

Discomfort, endlessly has pulled itself upon me
Distracting/reacting
Against my will i stand beside my own reflection
It's haunting how i can't seem...

[Bridge]

[Chorus]

[Chorus]

LINKIN PARK SONG LYRICS

By Myself lyrics

What do I do to ignore them behind me?
Do I follow my instincts blindly?
Do I hide my pride from these bad dreams?
And give in to sad thoughts that are maddening?
Do I sit here and try to stand it?
Or do I try to catch them red-handed?
Do I trust some and get fooled by phoniness,
Or do I trust none and live in loneliness?
Because I can't hold on when I'm streached so thin
I make the right moves but I'm lost within
I put on my daily facade but then
I just end up getting hurt again
By myself [myself]

[x2]
I ask why, but in my mind
I find I can't rely on myself

[Chorus:]
I can't hold on
To what I want when I'm stretched so thin
It's all too much to take in
I can't hold on
To anything watching everything spin
With thoughts of failure sinking in

If I
Linkin Park By Myself lyrics found on http://www.hibeamlyrics.com/by-myself-lyrics-linkin-park.html
Turn my back I'm defenseless
And to go blindly seems senseless
If I hide my pride and let it all go on then they'll
Take from me till everything is gone
If I let them go I'll be outdone
But if I try to catch them I'll be outrun
If I'm killed by the questions like a cancer
Then I'll be buried in the silence of the answer
by myself [myself]

[x2]
I ask why, but in my mind
I find I can't rely on myself

[Chorus]

How do you think I've lost so much
I'm so afraid that I'm out of touch
How do you expect... I will know what to do
When all I know Is what you tell me to

[x2]
Don't you know
I can't tell you how to make it go
No matter what I do, how hard I try
I can't seem to convince myself why
I'm stuck on the outside

[Chorus x2]

LINKIN PARK LYRICS

Meteora
Don't Stay

Sometimes I, need to remember just to breathe
Sometimes I, need you to stay away from me
Sometimes I’m in disbelief I didn’t know
Somehow I need you to go

Don’t stay
Forget our memories
Forget our possibilities
What you were changing me into
Just give me myself back and
Don’t stay
Forget our memories
Forget our possibilities
Take all your faithlessness with you
Just give me myself back and
Don’t stay

Sometimes I, feel like I trusted you too well
Sometimes I, just feel like screaming at myself
Sometimes I’m in disbelief I didn’t know
Somehow I need to be alone

Don’t stay
Forget our memories
Forget our possibilities
What you were changing me into
Just give me myself back and
Don’t stay
Forget our memories
Forget our possibilities
Take all your faithlessness with you
Just give me myself back and
Don’t stay

I don’t need you anymore, I don’t want to be ignored
I don’t need one more day of you wasting me away
I don’t need you anymore, I don’t want to be ignored
I don’t need one more day of you wasting me away
With no apologies

Don’t stay
Forget our memories
Forget our possibilities
What you were changing me into
Just give me myself back and
Don’t stay
Forget our memories
Forget our possibilities
Take all your faithlessness with you
Just give me myself back and
Don’t stay
Don’t stay
Don’t stay
